Not really though, 970 is about equal to 1060 3GB while 980 is the 6GB version.
70E for 15% performance gain is a bit much at least IMO.
970 is still enough for 1080p gaming as long you can manage your expectation and not cranking everything to MAX especially Texture,Shadows,AA or anything that use a lot of VRAM because 970 only have 3.5GB of "USABLE" Vram although the extra 500MB is usable but its just too slow to be used.
