RAID switch to AHCI?

Recently, I installed a optical hard drive bay (to connect and disconnect HDD without have to open the case/shut off system). Then I remembered my system is in RAID mode (no RAID partition was set up), so should I switch RAID to ACHI?

 

FYI, the HDD bay is connected to a PCIe SATA controller built in to my Mobo, currently Windows detect it as a removable drive and I can "safely eject" it before turn off the HDD power and remove the drive.

Yes, without RAID Setup, AHCI is the best solution as it is more compatible than RAID mode.

No need to change from RAID to AHCI. RAID mode features all the advantages that AHCI has to offer over IDE and then some.
