Dropped graphics card

I have an RX 580 still in its box and I dropped it off  of my table which is about 3 feet 

Could it be damaged? How can I check?

Forgot to mention it's the sapphire nitro+

it's dropped way worse than that just shipping it to you

if it is still in it's box it is fine. the box is pretty much made to protect the card in scenario's like this one.

If it's still in the box, it's fine.

The USPS guys probably played football with the box. I wouldn't be surprised if it bounced off the ceiling on a kickoff. It's almost certainly fine. The only way to know for sure is to plug it in and try it out.

so it was in a random box

If it was in it's original packaging (the box that says RX 580 on it) then it's fine.

 

If it was in a random box that you put it in after pulling it out of the original packaging, then honestly it's probably still fine.

Haha your probably fine just being a bit paranoid on Friday I was up till 2 trying to fix my cable management woke up at 6 for school and I still had my pc on the floor upright and when I was moving my chair to get to my dresser the wheel on my chair knocked it over on carpet not even a foot and I was worried the whole day my side panel was also closed lol

Asking a bunch of random people on the internet when you are the only one that has the card to test it is pointless.

I dropped one of my 970's a while back on the hardwood floor. It bent the cooler badly and busted a couple fans but the card still worked miraculously. I ended up putting an Arctic Accelero Xtreme III on it and its been fine ever since. Its all on how it falls, fwiw...

Did you drop it from a roof or something?

No, it got knocked off just from my desktop actually, onto a hardwood floor. It landed on its end you see, and flipped onto the fans. (that pic is after I took the fan shroud off.)
