Hey community, looking for your recommendations here:

Scenario: I currently use a Logitech G15 (first version) at work, a keyboard that I've been using in various gaming or work capacities for a decade.  It's fairly responsive, I appreciate the fact that it has adjustable backlighting and a good number of macro keys.  The screen's pretty fun, but I don't use it for gaming any more, so I mostly use it for computer statistics and time now.  Recently some of the keys have been showing their age, the LED backlighting is flickering in some areas, and I've been considering replacing it.  I use the keyboard currently for work, I use a few of the G keys for macros, I need the backlighting (but not super bright lighting) as I work in the dark (night shift) and occasionally I can't find the key by pattern/feel.

What I'd like: A mechanical keyboard with a little feedback, but not loud (work environment).  Keyboard must have the number pad and dedicated macro keys similar to the G keys on various Logitech keyboards, six macro keys minimum.  Adjustable backlighting (software or button on keyboard) is desirable.  RGB is unnecessary, but if I can set it at a soft level of lighting in one solid color, that's fine.  I'm thinking Cherry MX brown switches.  This keyboard will likely never be used for gaming (aside from maybe the occasional browser adventure through archive.org).

Any recommendations?

This would likely be up your alley and fit right into what you want. Since you had the G15 and they have a fairly heavy actuation pressure, Black switches may be a better option.

Cherry mx brown certainly has little feedback but doesnt feel very good imo, it has a very undefined tactile bump. I recommend cherry mx clears if youre not doing much gaming. They will feel kinda similar to your g15 as it has the tactile even quite high up and has a sharper and more tactile bump than mx brown and the weighting should be similar to the g15.

I recommend the Leopold Fc900r which is one of the more quiet and more well built mx keyboards. The fc900r has a felt dampening mat which reduces the sound a bit and it uses decently thick and very high quality and durable doubleshot pbt caps which make the keyboard sound more bassy. However, there is no rgb and there are no macro keys, but you could always get an external macro pad like a ramaworks m10.

Black switches arent that good imo, especially the cherry ones, which are super grainy. And they're a bit too heavy for linear switches and can make your hands tired quickly. Mx clears would be a better option imo. They have around the same weighting but the tactility makes it a bit less tiring to type on, and the force curve is quite similar to dome keyboards which would make it more similar to the g15.
