Dear all,

I have recently bought new Corsair Vengeance RAM for my Razer Blade 15 (2018). Can I install just the RAM, i.e. unscrew back plate, take out old RAM, put in new RAM, without backing up all the files and reinstalling windows?

I have had a look online and everyone seemed to upgrade both RAM and SSD at the same time, so I don't know if I need to backup my files and reinstall windows when upgrading just RAM.

Thank you in advance.

If you're only upgrading the RAM, given that your model supports it, then no, you don't need to reinstall windows

Your topic also mentions SSD. With an SSD unless its for mass storage and not an OS drive you should be fun. If its an OS drive, you could clone it, but its advised to do a full fresh install.
