My 2 month old Seagate 1TB HDD is making a scratching noise but works fine and is not slow at all.

From what i've heard is that when this happens its failing and will probably break soon.

I tried SeaTools for a temporary fix but its still making a scratching noise.

I have all my important stuff on my 250 GB SSD so I'm not worried about losing files at all.

Is there anything I can do?

That doesn't sound good. (pardon the pun)

If you are still covered by warranty, I suggest you to send it back for a replacement.

In the mean time, try do a full drive back up to local machine or cloud just in case.
