Hey guys, I finally finished building my pc today. But since my room doesn’t have LAN and the only monitor in my house is in my room, I borrowed a friend’s wifi adapter which is the tp link TL-WN821N. After installing the drivers from TP Links site and everything the wifi connected. But it said there was no internet. So I changed the settings to the following in device manager:

Bandwidth: 20_40 MHz

EnableAdaptivity: Enabled

HlDiff for Adaptivity: 9

L2HForAdaptivity: F5

QoS Support: Auto

WiFi Config: WiFi

Wireless Mode: IEEE 802.11 b/g/n

Now the wifi says it’s connected but webpages don’t load. And when it does the speed is excruciatingly slow. Pls help.

Windows network diagnostic doesn’t find anything. Also, I’m running windows 10. The network adapter worked on windows 7.

Changed completely irrelevant settings.

Are you getting an IP address? ipconfig in command prompt/PowerShell.

Yes. There’s an IPV4 address, subnet mask, default gateway and everything. The Media state says it’s disconected though...
