Priorities Change

How do I fix this? I've been trying for hours now and can't get it to change priority in my games. I can change app priorities but not the games themselves.

It can sometimes prevent fps drops because of other process. But maybe Windows Game Mode prevent changing priority.

@homeap5 Games usually get sufficient CPU time. I think Microsoft is pretty confident about that.

@GamerMan Scheduling is actually very complicated and I can see game mode already setting the priority to high (or even real time). Well try and disable game mode (like suggested by @homeap5) if it still doesn't work come back again and we have to maybe look at user rights

If you really want to get sweaty and look at all of the performance numbers and get a general understanding of the scheduler in Windows this: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/test/wpt/cpu-analysis

should get you hooked for some hours.
