Hey there LTT community. I got a question for ya'll. I'm looking for upgrade on my old GTX 1050 Ti with something fresh and not 2080 Ti :D. Currrent spec -> http://speccy.piriform.com/results/FiJee3Kps4ZB48YW48OkGNR

  • CPU - Intel Core i7 3770 + Akasa AK-CC4013EP01 Nero 3 CPU Cooler
  • Ram - 16GB DDR3
  • MOBO - Z77-DS3H Gigabyte
  • GPU - GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
  • 1080p 60hz (normal 25 inch monitor) looking for upgrade in the future but with 1080p 144hz instead.
  • CoolerMaster MASTERWATT 750W MPX7501 PSU
  • SSD - Intel 120GB SSDSC2BW120A4
  • HDD - 500GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA050
  • Case - Thelmaltake G21 + 4 x Be quiet! Pure Wings 2 Fans
  •

So the idea for me is to stick with my 60hz 1080p monitor for now and maybe upgrade with 1080p 144hz later on next year. I want to get a new mid-range to high end GPU so im looking for your suggestions.

Im willing to pick up used GPU if its expensive in my region so no worries for that atm.

I'm a software engineer and heavy duty gamer on new titles like RDR2, BF5 and WoW with many more side games when im bored with my main games, so in general im heavy power user on my PC which leads to the high price segment on new gpu's. Thanks for all suggestions in advance guys!

My recommendations:

Vega 56 if decent price

rx 590

rx 580

or a gtx 1080ti if you find it for 600-700$ used.

IF you are going to buy a new monitor also, then get freesync monitor + AMD gpu.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

There's still a Vega 64 on sale for the same price as the cheapest Vega 56 according to PCPP: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/dCndnQ/sapphire-radeon-rx-vega-64-8-gb-video-card-21275-03-20g

Blower cooler but still it's a darn good deal.

and then the STRIX Vega 56 for only $10 more, worse GPU than the 64 but much better cooler: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4t3H99/asus-radeon-rx-vega-56-8gb-rog-strix-video-card-rog-strix-rxvega56-o8g-gaming
