VR Entry level

Can anyone recommend a cheap, entry level VR headset with the controller things? (sorry I don’t know what they’re called). I want to delve into VR and I just want a simple set. Also, is there anything else I need to know if I want to get into VR?

Budget? They're all ~$400. Unless you have a PS4, PSVR is ~$200
