Good buy?

The PC is listed for 130 euro and doesn't include storage, PSU or GPU.

CPU: Intel I7-930
RAM: 24 GB DDR3 
MB: EVGA X58 SLI
Case: Fractal Design R3

 

It looked good because of that X58, but is it?

YES! Great case, lots of RAM, good motherboard (which one exactly?), and a meh CPU (but you can get a Xeon for $50). Buy it.

The i7s (minus the 980) are shit, but the Xeons once overclocked are the reason it's still alive. If you can find a motherboard for a decent price, you can get 6 cores and 12 threads for $50.

I'm probably gonna sell the MOBO but the case and ram would be useful. Just wanted to make sure I could flip it.

Oh yeah. If I were you, I'd spend a bit more and still get the Xeon, then sell the CPU, motherboard, and RAM for around $200.

That's about what a good-shape X58 board bare goes for, not to mention the free case, cpu (not that it's much use, get a Xeon) and 24GB of RAM
