What is DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG

I get this error in Deus EX: Mankind Divided and a simler one within Call Of Duty WW2.

I havent Played COD:WWII for about 8 months or so now due to this issue within WW2 but i am now getting the error in Deus EX.

 

PC Specs:
CPU: i7 8700k @stock

RAM: 16gb TridentZ RGB XMP 3000

GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 ti SC BLACK @stock

Motherboard: ROG Strix z370 gaming g
SSD: Samsung 960evo 250gb
SSHD: 2tb Firecuda
HDD: WD Blue 1tb
PSU Corsair 750w

 

Please tell me how to fix this thanks

I realy want to know incase its a CPU issue or a GPU issue.
NOTE: Every game runs fine just these two!

The problem is that you got the drive from Nvidia when you should be getting it from your card manufacturer. Here's a link to someone who had a similar problem.

Do you have any add-ons installed? Some are known to exacerbate this issue.

add-ons being background apps running yeah NZXT CAM, Corsair IQUE, steam, battlenet, origin, discord, firefox, uplay, epic games, xbox app.

 

What do you mean by card manufacturer? (EVGA)

Yeah, EVGA makes your card so it'll usually have it's own driver. These are meant to work with that specific card so it may fix the problem.

i will try that as im using nvidia driver
do you know where on evgas website the gpu drivers are?

This should not be the problem.

 

The error means that the GPU is locking up and not responding to the driver in a timely manner.  Try newer or older drivers, sometimes new drives can break older games.

It's usually under support or download, then just find your card and download the driver. But also use DDU to remove the Nvidia driver, as having multiple drivers can conflict with eachother.

il try all but the 1st il try 1st then il tr 399 driver

Would having uhd 630 drivers effect to stability of Nvidia drivers.
