Just wall mounted my pc and the wood is covered with carbon fiber which is apparently conductive. I want to make an acrylic backplate to protect the GPU and tbh it seems pretty easy. Watched a couple of vids and I know how to do it. Problem  is that none of these videos actually show how to attach the plate to the GPU's PCB. How do I do that in the easiest possible way? Got an xfx r9 270x btw.

I believe people just put acrylic back plates on top of their graphics cards, as unless your card already has screw holes for a back plate, there's no real non-dodgy way of doing it.

REMILIA Mk.IIIG CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X3D, Cooler: Gelid Sirocco (Arctic MX6), RAM: 4x 8Gb sticks of Patriot Viper Steel Series 3600 CL17, Mobo: AsRock X570 Taichi, GPU: Inno3D RTX 3080 iChill x4 10G, Storage: 1TB Intel 670p NVME SSD boot drive, a few 1TB and 512gb SATA/NVME SSDs for game storage, 6 hard drives:2-12 TB, PSU: Montech Century II 850W, Case: Silverstone FLP02, PCIE Cards: Cheap Chinese Marvell 88SE9215 4 port SATA card, Sonnet Allegro USB3.2 Card Monitors: ViewSonic Elite XG270QC (165hz, 1ms MPRT, 1440p, VA, Freesync PP, pneumatic stand), electriq 27qhd180i (IPS, 180hz, 1440p, 1Ms), iiyama G2530HSU-B (75Hz, Freesync, one in landscape, one in Portrait, all on pneumatic monitor stands).

Easiest way: Get some of those transparent flexible plastic sheet, cut it according the board and stick it on with some double-sided tape.

if you really want use acrylic: get a schematic drawing of your PCB, see which screw hole can be used to attach the backplate, designed with any CAD software, and have it manufactured by a laser cutting company. (You will need some CAD skill for the designing process)

double sided tape wouldn't harm the pcb?

normal double sided tape

You will want something strong that functions like the 3m products. Also, if the tape is thick enough, like mounting tape I think its called, you will be able to tape the backplate on without the acrylic actually touching any of the gpu directly. Also, pick places for your tape that are blank parts of the gpu's pcb. Otherwise, yeah it's a pretty easy process.

Any good quality double sided mounting tape will do, I will recommend the 3M stuff also over anything else just for the wide selection and quality of their products. As for the carbon fiber unless you are using solid laminated carbon fiber sheets regular vinyl wrap and such is not conductive.

If the card is stil horizontal or back up, you can just lay it on the card. Like many do in their builds.
