No Audio found

Froggo56

Windows 10 October update happened and now there is no detectable audio. I also replaced a motherboard in my computer. I've tried to install drivers but they all error out via time or just say something went wrong. I've tried to reinstall Realtek but no luck, just errors out. Tried to go into "device manager" to update things, but no luck. I downloaded the driver files and tried to select them for "Other Devices"(under other devices i have a Audio Device on HD audio bus) in device manager to update it but yet again, no luck.

photos attached are the audio outputs i think, only ones i can trouble shoot are through steam, and there is a photo of the 3 updates that timed out

Now what

I believe there was an issue with new Windows update and Intel hardware that caused audio to stop working.

But anyways, they show up as audio devices, have you tried selecting the correct one from the volume menu?(The arrow above the slider with the speaker/audio device name)

fix-Sound-Volume-Too-Low-in-Windows-10-8

You see the "Speakers(Realtek ..... Audio)  ^" in the image? Click that(on your own pc), and try every option there is in that list.

There is no slider, when i click on it a trouble shoot pops up for "steam Streaming" but under the device manager i have 5 outputs that dont show up. I think the first 2 Audio Devices are what my headset should show up as (A40's plugged in by the lime green and pink plugs from the back of the motherboard)

That's really weird. Can you test if it works with headphones?(Front and/or back of PC)

ive tried the front and back ports for headphones yes, both show have no sound and wont let me trouble shoot why. Drivers are as updated as they can get. it just wont give me sound. Ive done restarts, ive made sure the motherboard ports are enabled but nothing

Btw i have other harddrives with windows from early 2018 and that showed the same thing. Could this be bad ports on a motherboard?

If I were to change my MB and leave the original OS on  the drive I would be surprised if I didn't have probs.

Fresh OS install.

Go to MB manufacturer for drivers.

Why would there be problems? It would just reconfigure the system for the hardware, I've done it multiple times.
