ssd not recognized?

Im trying to put my  860 Evo ssd from my main  Desktop  into  my Old asF@  laptop dell Inspiron 1525    I mounted it to the  Tray that holds the current HDD in the laptop, and tried  to push it  hard nuff   to make sure  it  was  well plugged in ( still not sure it is  since i cant  really see? anyone has an idea? It  wont boot I get prompted to a  diagnose  blue  screen telling me no   Hard drive   has been found?
