what monitor do i get need help Please

MarkEbaby

need some help please people so many questions

help me pick a monitor please

if you have any monitors you can recommend me that be best for me please do

currently i use a HP x2301 monitor which has a really glossy screen

but i would like to get a new monitor that is 24 inches and flicker free that is comfortable to look at

monitors around £190 to £290 prob my budget am in uk

matt or glossy?

maybe a matt screen as i think maybe for long hours a matt screen is less harsh to look at than a glossy screen you agree with this or no?

i want which is more comfortable for eyes matt or glossy?

i dont know if to get a TN panel or IPS as i read about how TN for gaming, IPS better colors for movies

but i do both, i really want a good picture quality for movies videos, but still with still a response time that is good enough for gaming

i like to watch videos, movies on my pc

but i also do some gaming on my xbox one like fifa & fortnite on xbox, on my pc i now doing fortnite also

so which do i choose TN or IPS?

also i have a samsung tv called a LT24D390SW that i bought for my xbox one but i dont use it anymore as the reponse time is so bad

can you get IPS panel in tvs or would that be PLS, i know samsung do PLS do other manufacturers do IPS?

i ask because of my samsung tv bad response time and is PLS

i know TN best for gaming but maybe montiors still have a better response time than a tv even if the monitor is IPS?

does a monitor with an IPS panel have a better response time than a tv with an IPS/ PLS panel,

or will the reponse time be similar as both IPS panel?

also i dont know if to get a 4k monitor or just a 1080 resolution, i would like 4k but i dont want a 4k monitor with a rubbish 1080 picture if you know what i mean

like a good 1080 monitor may have a better picture than a cheap 4k monitor for watching 1080 if am correct or no?

as not everything in 4k

my graphic card is a gtx 750 ti so not very powerful at all but i just do fortnite on my pc and xbox for fifa and fortnite

but the gtx 750 ti does have a display port were i would be able to watch videos in 4k which i would like to do

can people please answer my questions so i understand more about the questions i asked on the technology

i know some monitors i seen have freesync which should be ok for my xbox but my pc is nvidia gtx 750 ti

the variable refresh rate wont work if the montior has freesync technology connected to my pc which is nvidia gtx 750 ti if am correct?

but will some features of freesync work with my pc or none at all?

i know Gsync would be best but i think its only on high price monitors that cost alot more if am correct?

if you have any monitors you can recommend me

let me know please am in uk

please do help answering all my questions and recommending me monitors would be really nice of you

I would recommend LG's 24 inch ultrawide. It is cheap, and if you're going to be watching movies, it'll be great with a 21:9 ratio.

Also, holy shit that's a long essay for a monitor. Buy this one though ^

Yeah, that's the monitor I was talking about.

You can look for higher refresh rates if you want.
