That looks like VRAM corruption to me.
What GPU do you have and how old is it? Also, have you updated drivers recently?
If possible run Memtestx86 (via a live USB)

Desktop: HP Z220 Workstation, 12 GB RAM, 2x500 GB HDD RAID0, + GTX 1060 3GB

Laptop: ThinkPad T430, 8 GB RAM, 1x120 GB SSD

Welp, that card is pretty old and that might be the issue. I had a GT555M on a laptop that experienced the same symptoms, later on it would begin to crash when it was under load.

If you want to try and squeeze a little bit more life out of it, you could use software like MSI afterburner to underclock the GPU VRAM by a few hundred MHz or so.

This will reduce the performance of your card, however.

that is true and i realy dont care much for that card but i just bought the rx 550 4g oc from my local pc shop and ill swap it out and give it a whirl.

i wont use msi afterburner as i find that the gt 610 is the only card that is not high end that i have left which the fan still works.

I fail to understand why you don't want to use MSI afterburner?

It can only damage cards if you overclock, but not if you underclock. In fact underclocking can even lengthen the lifespan of a card; it will just run at a reduced performance.
