LG 34UC79G and GTX 1060 6GB

Planning on buying a new monitor, right now the LG 34UC79G seems allright.

Just wondering if my GPU can handle it. If not any good other suggetions for Ultra Wide monitors for a GTX 1060 6GB

I would get an ultrawide that has g-sync. You will have some problems running AAA titles with a 1060 6gb on a 2560 x 1080 ultrawide.

I think it could handle it. I have a GTX 1060 with a 2560 x 1080 ultrawide (60Hz) and can max out most games at 60FPS.
