An ultrabook or sleek laptop that can run games and 3d modelling programs?

MissxNina :)

I have a powerful PC at home but I wanted something that I could take around to play games and do work.

When I say work, I mean using programs such as Premiere, after effects to edit HD video, and also a 3d modeling software called Maya.

My plan is to start taking a laptop into college so I don't have to use the bloody irritating macs that they provide.

I also want to run newish games medium-high at 50-60fps. (I don't ask much :p)

See I was looking at the new Series 7 Ultra but I'm not sure whether it was up for the job..

It has an i7 and a 1GB 8570m and 10GB ram I think

It does advertise that it is gaming capable but I am not so sure with that graphics card

Thanking you :)

Do you have a price range?

I would recommend ASUS' Zenbooks but those have 640m's in them which aren't capable of much gaming at all especially not for your standards. You're going to have a tough time finding something that has discrete graphics and maintains a low profile form factor.

Desert Storm PC | Corsair 600T | ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ | AMD FX-8350 | MSI 7950 TFIII | 16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600 | Seasonic X650W I Samsung 840 series 500GB SSD

Mobile Devices I ASUS Zenbook UX31E I Nexus 7 (2013) I Nexus 5 32GB (red)
