TN vs IPS Pannel

Can someone tell me if TN Pannels are really not that good as IPS?

 

Can someone recommend me a good Monitor? 

It should have 144Hz. G.Sync and WQHD.

TN panels are not that bad.

 

But watching you pay 600+$ for a non-IPS panel breaks my heart

Well i can't spend more than 650€ and i can't find a nice Monitor with 144Hz, G.Sync, WQHD AND IPS  @GSTARR

TN panels are awesome until you use an IPS monitor, you will never go back.

Well i use 3 IPS Monitors right now. But all of them are not for gaming  @<Aleks>

For me, a TN feels outdated after a long period of use. Why don't you go to your local PC World Gaming Banker or and try?

I live in Austria... There are PC Shops but i can't test/watch how the Monitors are

What is your definition of the monitor is gaming monitor?

 

1ms respond time? If is this, then you shall brain wash yourself 1ms is nothing and not necessary, they is hardly differences you get from 1ms vs 5ms. This is the reason a lot people trap on TN because they keep advertise 1ms is heaven in gaming. Actually TN got nothing can advertise beside this 1ms. How expensive the monitor in TN just let manufacturer earn more, it is all same not a good monitor.

 

More than 60hz? Yes, they is differences you can notice on 60hz vs 100hz and above but if because of this, you change from IPS to TN is downgrade to me instead of upgrade.

 

TN v/s IPS is like hell vs heaven. They is differences can tell in between them, everybody said you won't go back to TN once you use IPS. I agree on this.

TN has a come a long way.  I just bought a new Dell S2716DG 1440p 144 Hz TN panel.  Compared to the last TN panel I had from 2008, it's a night a day difference how much better TN panels have become.  I have some Korean 1440p AHVA panels for comparison, and although the colors aren't quite as good on the TN it's really not had at all and I don't feel like a made a bad trade going to TN from a superior panel type.

 

All this means is that Dell selected a good TN for this model.  Your results may vary brand to brand.
