Wattman vs Afterburner

Howdy Folks,

Just installed an RX570 on my daughters rig replacing an R7250 and when setting up and testing the airflow and temps, I noticed in Afterburner it shows usage at 16% no matter what.  Usage is obviously higher than this as it performs at the level it should, not at a 16% usage level.

A quick google search shows this is some kind of bug, unfortunately the only current solution I see is to use wattman.

I have never used this software before as the R720 was the only other AMD card I have ever had.

Is it any good?  Worth ditching Afterburner for?  Does anyone else know of a fix for the 16% bug?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Cheers!

id prefer Afterburner, its my go to GPU overclocking program and right now my preferd system monitor. used to use CAM but that sucked up almost 20% CPU usage at times :/

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Agreed, it's mine as well, but the usage bug is the issue here.

i cant say that anything but checking if its at 100% or not is something i ever bother to care about, as long as everything else is fine with it id still use it. Sapphire TriXX is also an option for you i guess but i have never used it
