Primary display does not come on, but secondary does.

Richtofen_

So I just bought a dell E2414h monitor from a thrift store. It was in perfect condition, nothing wrong with it. I then come home, and plug it in; only the E2414H display comes on.

My primary monitor is the Dell P2414h, while obviously the secondary is the E2414h.

I had to recently buy a VGA to HDMI adapter because DVI was going to be hard to find. Right now on my GPU, I have displayport plugged in for my P24, while I have the HDMI plugged in for my E24.

I tried to open display settings and radeon settings, and they won't open at all. I even tried restarting, and settings will not open even if I wait or restart my computer.

edit: I also cannot hear audio on the E24.

Start it up with one monitor and plug the other one in after it's running

I tried that, and the E24 came back on and the P24 went back to being off.
