New Gpu not working in system

Lemtea

Hi

I recently bought a Gigabyte gtx 105ti g1 gaming

When installed in my system I do not get any signal on my monitor but the monitor detects that the cable is plugged in.

I have tried updating the bios, using a different pcie slot and power supply and uninstalling graphics drivers but nothing has worked.

The system boots up without a problem with the old GPU in it and the gpu itself is not dead because I took it back to the shop on it worked fine on their test system.

System specs:

  • CPU
    Intel Core i5 760
  • Motherboard
    Gigabyte P55A-UD3
  • RAM
    Hyper X Fury (2x4gb) 8gb 1866mhz DDR3
  • GPU
    gtx 1050ti
  • Case
    Cooler Master CM 690 III
  • Storage
    Wd Blue 1tb
  • PSU
    Siverstone Strider Plus 500w
  • Display(s)
    Benq G2000W 1680x1050
  • Cooling
    Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

Okay, put the old one back into the system. Remove the drivers using DDU. Then turn off the PC and install the new GPU and try again. :)

Alright. Just to make sure are you plugging the DVI or whichever cable into the GPU rather than the motherboard?

Do you have another DVI cable or whatever you use? It could be a faulty cable.
