I might not be answering your question but a waterblock on a RX480 is not worth it. MIght aswell get a faster 1070 with the extra money

^^^^^^^^

sell the 480 because mining, buy 1070/1080 (well a 1070 might be out of the question because miners..)

also dont get a waterblock for pascal. cant overclock for shit because nvidia gimped all pascal cards with encrypted bioses.

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

I have already buy my gpu so I don't have the choice. And it's for a "beginner" pc so it doesn't matter yet... In few years I will change it but not today.

Moreover, I search a waterblock for silence and temps so it's worth it ;)

you MAKE MONEY if you bought it for LESS than you can sell it for, then you can put it for upgrades. :)

silence and temps, sure.. i dont know anything about waterblocks though, and good luck making a water cooling loop when you're doing a 'beginner' pc

Generally aftermarket cards don't get waterblocks (or at least it's not common for them to get waterblocks).

And it's generally not worth putting one on an RX480. the price of the card plus the waterblock will put it in 1070/1080 territory (money-wise)

I agree and I have to add I couldn't find anything but statements contradicting the existance of a waterblock for the MSI custom PCB.

Free money is free money and lookign at it from a realistic perspective: Watercooling is more por than a higher end GPu and will cost you about 300 bucks for the GPU alone in addtion to being kinda wasted. If you were really concerned about silence you would probably go for a 1060 6G because it might be a little worse value compared to a 480 but draws way less power and coolers will therefore be doing there work way quieter. Tbh evena 1070 with the rigth cooler will be quieter than a 480. Sry if I had to burst your bubble.

One remaining thing to say it that you might be able to got for an AiO liek a Kraken X62 for your GPU. Cheaper, about the same results and more likely availabe for your 480 PCB.

MSI design, this is waht you have and from what I read there are no watterblocks for it:

Didn't mention 1080ti. A used 1080 should go for about 550-600 with a 1070 being around 500 new.

My rx480 (sapphire nitro+) was roughly 300 eur (280-ish actually), a waterblock for a reference 480 is about 150 eur (excluding backplate and fittings), putting it smack dab in the 1070/used 1080 price bracket.

Assuming someone makes custom waterblocks for aftermarket cards, the price might go up since it's, well, custom.

A few days ago, I was looking at some watercooling blocks. I even saw RAM blocks, and water blocks for on the mobo... Might be overkill, but if he wants a waterblock on his RX480 because of *reasons*, let him.

But as others have already said, there might not be a special waterblock for this card. You might want to look for universal waterblocks.

Thanks for all of your quick answers guys :)

You have reason for the price, may I just need to keep it like this...

I will choose a better gpu later for my own build ^^
