Port Forward not working.

You will need a static IP setup on the machine hosting the Minecraft server. Once you have this done, then you can setup your port forwarding. If the IP changes on the computer that the port forward is setup on, then the clients will not be able to connect.

Hello,

I'm trying to port forward my router to allow other clients to join my Minecraft server. Unfortunately, after I open the port through the router control panel, the port is still not open. I verified this with the canyouseeme.org port checking site. Oddly, it was working earlier this day, and other clients could join my server. I left to see my Grandma at the hospital and came back to find that the server was not connecting to the 25565 port. I hopped the canyouseeme website and sure enough, it was not seeing the port open. As a side note, only 1 computer in the entire house can access the router control panel (192.168.0.1). Also, the IPv4 address is different and changes on every computer in the house (looking at "ipconfig" in cmd) - I think this is called a dynamic IP?

Thanks to those who can help!
