your setup will work well with a 1080p 144hz monitor. though it depends on what kinds of games you play more often

If you don't mind using a 27" on 1080P, I suggest you some monitors from Dell. P or even U series. I currently own a P2717H(27" 1080p) and it looks awesome.

It is fully adjustable(Tilt, turn, raise/lower), it's 60hz, has DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, some USB3.0 ports, two of them located on the left side of the monitor next to its' border which helps you if you need to connect an flash drive to your PC or simply charge your phone.

Hi guys,

I hope I'm not being impolite or something, but I have a similar issue.

I recently built my computer and after 2 months of gaming on my old monitor I definitely got fed up with its size and want to upgrade.

I need a little advice on what size/resolution/aspect ratio my configuration could handle.

I have an MSI X99A SLI Krait, i7-6850K (no OC done currently), HyperX DDR4 2400/CL16 2x8 GB, and an MSI Armor 8G OC GTX 1070 (no OC done currently). (OS on a Savage 240GB SSD.)

I mostly play Ghost Recon Wildlands, The Crew and ARK: Survival Evolved, so I don't really need 144Hz.

I would like to use it for gaming, movies and occasionally for 3D CAD work. So the monitor being immersive is a plus but not a requirement. (Sorry if I use the wrong expressions.)

My budget is around 400-420 USD.

I live in Hungary, so it's actually around 490-500 USD max, but monitors are more expensive here, so I adjusted a bit.

All help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Have a nice one.
