Monitor setup problem

Go to solution Solved by R3ep3r,

1000 series from nvidia won't work with any type of adapter. I've experienced that a few months ago when I have tried to connect an old VGA monitor to a brand new 1050ti. I tried several adapters and none of them worked.

Sorry buddy. But seems like you'll have to buy a monitor with DVI-I or D, HDMI or DisplayPort.

Hello everyone, I have occurred a little problem...

I have this PC:

CPU: i5 6500

GPU Gigabyte GTX 1070 WINDFORCE

Ram: Patriot Viper 4 series 8 gigabits ram Dual Channel Kit

MOBO/MOBA: ASROCK Z170 Extreme 3

The monitors compatible with the GPU are kind of expensive. Here comes the dumb question: How bad the performance will drop by connecting the monitor to GPU and a cheap adaptor for a VGA monitor to this Graphics Card? And if not another solution to it instead of buying a VGA monitor( I am going to buy one Iif I can't find anything cheap)

You can use a DisplayPort to VGA adapter, they are quite inexpensive and will work with 1000 series cards. They only dropped support for passive DVI to VGA adapters.

Adapters  won't affect performance.
