Is ipad mini 3 worth it after 1.5 yrs?

I want to get a new ipad for some video editing on imovie beacause i dont have any apple products so i cant run it

So is ipad mini 4 good for that and some other stuff ?

When will the support for it end?

Yes, it's still an option. The IOS devices are optimized and it will still perform great.
