200R with a Noctua NH-D15S.... Will it Fit

Jonathan Holbrook

I currently have a AMD FX-8370 on a 990FXA-UD3 R5 from Gigabyte. I have a Hyper 212 EVO with Push Pull Fans it works well untill it hits 4.6GHZ then it gets too hot for my taste. I wanna know if the Noctua NH-D15S will fit in my case. PC Part Picker says it will, my Specs on the case states any heatsink up to 165mm and the height with fans on the noctua is 160mm. I think it will but i wanna get a second opinion first.

They usually add quite a lot of leeway on the room for the heatsink.

Yours should fit fine :) Since the maximum is 165mm and the cpu cooler is 160mm.

Thats what I thought as well, thank you. I really need my Overclock a little higher to keep up with these newer AAA titles, especially CPU intensive games. AMD kinda dropped the ball with the FX-Series CPUs. I can't wait for the AMD Zen to hit the shelves!!!
