Dan Castellaneta's not really cohesive Discord guide

PlayStation 2

Discord's been out for nearly a year and I see that people still wanna know how you use it.

It really isn't that hard.

First, let's get into how to set up your server.

First, make sure your server is created.

Here, I have my server set up in the Central United States area.

Now you should start setting up member roles.

As you should hopefully know, click on Server settings on the server's name.

If you are the owner of the server, you're given full administrator control to the server. If you insist on creating other roles, including an administrator role, you might be better off not using the Administrator permission in the roles settings for it.

You should then build every other role off of that.

What you want to do now is set up channel permissions.

This isn't hard to do.

First, set up a channel.

For here, it should follow the permissions for the basic everyone role, but if you wanna customize it more, like disabling file attaching, you can.

Here I have disabled the attach files and mention everyone option, which would be useful for a music channel

I will add on more and I'll always answer questions. This is Dan Castellaneta signing off.

Dan is at it again. All aboard the fun train! Choo! Choo!

Seriously though, I should use Discord more often.
