Should I get a SSD or a HDD for a Netbook that has a dead HDD

14RChico

I have a old 2013 Acer Aspire One AO756 that has its original HDD and it soon died. I was wondering if by putting an SSD and Windows 10, 8.1, or 7,would the speed of the SSD decrease over time by the type of OS and the specifications of the PC.

SSD, I put an SSD into all of my netbooks and it really does breath new life into the little machines. I use Windows 10 on all of my netbooks without any issue and my old HP Mini 210 HD that I bought in 2010 is still running strong with his cheap little 64GB ADATA SSD. :)

Definitely Put in an SSD. I would not even consider a hard drive for a old netbook! :D

SSD.

All of those OSes support TRIM and therefore should be able to keep the SSD fast, provided it doesn't get too full.

How about Price For Performace

Wouldn't a HDD be better and cheaper than an SSD

In most operations done by an OS, SSDs will literally be a hundred times faster than a traditional hard drive.

I know but  have not that much money for an SSD, so which one is the best for cheap

Are you looking for speed or capacity?
