Hello, my cousin's macbook (normal, not pro or air) just had a hard drive failure and im looking for a guide on how to replace it, and what drive i would need to do it. i was looking on ifixit but found nothing. can anyone point me in the right direction?

Any SATA HDD or ssd will do.  iFixit should have a guide for opening it.

Guide: DSLR or Video camera?, Guide: Film/Photo makers' useful resources, Guide: Lenses, a quick primer
