M42 To FD Adapter

Just wondering if anybody has ever had experience using an M42 lens adapter on Canon FD mount cameras and how it affects the image quality on film

What exactly are you worried about?  If the condition of the FD lens is in good condition (not heavily scratched, no fungus or heavy amount of dirt inside the lens, etc.) is should be good.  If the lens mount adapter is machined precisely, the flange distance is NOT off by several millimetres, you should be able to get proper infinity focus.
