Extend battery life on a MSI Ghost Pro 4k

Hi,

I've been reading online that people are getting four hours of use on their Ghost Pros...  I've only been able to get 2 hours at most. My settings are on the lowest brightness and battery saver enabled, I'm just using chrome and taking notes, so I'm not sure why I can't get the 4 hours. Should I enable Power saving mode(it makes chrome laggy for some reason)?

Lower brightness, use a lighter browser like Opera or Firefox, turn off keyboard lighting.

Okay, thank you. Which browser do you recommend? I haven't used both in a while.

Opera is lighter but it also it "lighter" so you may not be able to do everything you want to do. Firefox OS definitely heavier but it will have all the capabilities chrome has.

One other contributing factor maybe because you have a 4K display, which by itself uses more power, as the computer needs more power to power those extra pixels.

I don't think ObjectDock would make a difference. And in that review, you will only get 4 hours of use time if your machine is at idle all the time, which means if you use the machine, you will not get 4 hours.
