You could probably get a 40 inch 1080p tv for around $300.

I know of a company that makes good TVs for a good price, They are very good and reliable, yet certain stuff is missing to keep the price down.

IMOP You would be best to buy at costco they give a 2 year warranty for nothing.  Limited budget makes TV shopping hard because you get what you pay for.  Nice thing about costco is at least you know you will get 2 years out of it
