Toshiba C670 blinking power LED

nbouwhuis

Hey everyone!

I got a Toshiba C670-11D and since yesterday, it refuses to do anything. The power LED blinks green 5 times. All short blinks.

I tried removing the battery and holding the power button for 30 seconds. No luck.

I tried to replace the CMOS battey. No luck.

I tried removing the memory (maybe it'll beep?). No luck. Still the same issue.

The laptop just got out of warrenty. So I'm realy hoping it's nothing serious.

Thanks for your help guys!

I think this is a bios problem. It sucks that it is out of warrants because you may have to pay quite a bit to get it fixed.

Compatible with Windows 95

Can you remove the HDD and try it in another computer?

Removed HDD just now. Still the same. Even tried booting Windows 7 installer. No luck with that either.

I think @tomlambert01 is right. It does sound like a bios problem. Have you tried trouble shooting the RAM sticks individually?.
