HELP! Mbr Error 1 Press Any Key To Boot From Floppy

KaasBroodje16

Hey guys,

My dad and I both have PC's, pretty good PC's (good for gaming etc). So my dad has a Windows 8.1 update. He installs it, but when the blue screen (NOT THE CRASH, BUT THE WINDOWS 8.1 UPDATE SCREEN THING) popped up and then it froze there. He turns off his PC because he couldn't do anything about it. He tries again, no luck same mistake. So he reinstalls Windows 8.1, I don't know why but he didn't do anything like deleting files or something like that, he just wanted to reinstall windows 8.1. He does that and when he wants to install windows, windows setup says he has ''no gpt'' or something. So he reboots his PC and it says ''Mbr Error 1 Press Any Key To Boot From Floppy''. I don't know if he had the windows disk in it but I think probably not. So we tried installing windows on a USB it doesn't work. He gets the ''Mbr Error 1 Press Any Key To Boot From Floppy'' thing on his screen. How does he fix it?

Thank you

Disable the floppy in BIOS?
