Help for dual-monitor set up

XPhoebusApolloX

So I'm thinking about adding a second monitor to my gaming setup which currently runs a 7970 with 3 gigs of video memory. Anybody who plays modern games on dual monitors, do you think my video card could handle max settings on games such as Skyrim, Witcher 2, Crysis 3, etc., on two monitors or should I look into going Crossfire? Thanks guys!

FX 8150 @ 4.0 GHz, MSI Radeon 7850 OC Edition, 2 x 4 gigs of GSkill Sniper ddr3 at 2133 MHz, two 120 gig Kingston HyperX 3K ssds, Crosshair V Formula, Antec High Current Gamer 620 watt psu, all wrapped up inside a Cooler Master CM Storm Stryker.

Skyrim = Yes

Witcher 2 (without uber sampling) = Yes

Crysis 3 = No

Btw, gaming on 2 monitor will be awkward with that bezel splitting them up in the middle. What is the resolution?

you cant game off two monitors o.O basically you either use one or three, there is no way to set up for 2 monitors except for a very few exclusive games such as supreme commander, i use 2 monitors so this is speaking from experience lol the only real use for a second monitor in my opinion is if your doing some hefty overclocking and what to be able to monitor literally everything at all times which i admit is nice or email and whatnot is nice sometimes to xP

Cool cool. Thanks guys. So if I cant game on both, I could do what Slick does: game on one, use the other for Skype, temp monitoring, Reddit, things like that?

Exactly! That's what I did when I only had 2 monitors. If you get some more money down the line just get another monitor and you can game on the 3.
