AMD Graphics card driver News

On my 7970ghz (280x)

1150 Core

1550 Mem 

 

I have installed CCC 14.9 and ran Heaven Benchmark 4.0 Score of 1047 (41.6 FPS)

I then uninstalled the 14.9 and installed a previous driver. 14.4 And to my surprise the score went up 1172 (46.5 FPS)

This was an increase of almost 5 fps. 

 

Note: this was tested using the Extreme preset

Something not quite right with your pc. My 7950 get 1k score in Heaven@1080p with the same clockspeed.

I got almost that score with a 7700Ghz 2GB @ 1400Mhz.

It depends on what settings you use.

This seems a little strange. It seems like it might be the same performance if I was on 14.4 drivers.  But you are running a better CPU which might make a difference of a few FPS

For amd graphics drivers you first have to uninstall the 14.9 drivers in order to install the 14.4 drivers
