What is the difference between AHVA (Advanced Hyper Viewing Angles) and IPS (In-Plane Switching)?

AHVA is IPS like panel that is a bit faster, but loses some colour for that.

Faster but less colour, however, unless you're into heinous levels of colour accuracy, don't worry about it.

Confusing AHVA with VA, they are not related.

So if I had the opportunity, would I go for AHVA or IPS? The only reason I am asking is because the BenQ 23.8 inch 1440p monitor is AHVA and that seems like a great monitor.

Depends on the price mostly. IPS is considered more premium because of the colours.
