mounting cpu cooler problem

Spec:

ASUS M5A99X Evo r2.0 

 

CPU: amd 6300

 

CPU cooler: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835106235

 

Im having problem about the mounting, the two screw doesnt reach the plate

I tighten everything, im afraid that if i force it, it'll just damage the mobo or mybe my cpu

 

Help please

Read the manual again. Sometimes the backplates are reversible and one side is for AMD and the other is for Intel.

If you flip it around it might work!

Flip the plate. That should fix it.

I had this issue for some reason amd clamping is very tight even with the stock cooler, put a bit more pressure on it
