Does freenas support wifi?

No. FreeNAS does not currently support wireless interfaces. You can read more on the FreeNAS wiki under hardware recommendations under Network Interfaces.

I am setting up freenas on an old laptop, and I was wondering if I could connect the laptop/nas over wifi?  I know the speed won't be the same, but will it work?
