Corsair Commander Pro Worth it? Or get a used NZXT Internal Hub?

Ok I misunderstood what you have. So this is how you should be set up.

                                 Fans (optional)

                                    I

                                    I

Internal usb 2.0------cccp---LNP---rgb

                                    I

                                    I

                                  Usb

                                    I

                                    I

                     Smart device-- nzxt rgb strip

                           I

                      Fans (optional)

Anything from the cccp will be controlled by icue

Anything from smart device will be controlled by cam

It crazy how much corsair cost is to control some lighting.

You can have your fans connected whatever way you want. I still use my motherboard.

Also I should note that I haven't tried daisy chaining eco systems. But I doubt there would be an issue.

If it was me id buy a rgb strip from corsair and connected to the cccp or lnp so it sync with everything else. And sell the smart device and the rgb strip with it. Already stuck investing $$$ into corsairs ecosystem might as well commit to it.

Hi guys,

I am building a mini itx build and my motherboard has only 1 usb 2.0 header. I will need 3 usb 2.0 headers (1 for the nzxt smart device 2 because of the led strip, 1 for the Corsair H100i Pro XT AIO and 1 for 2 Corsair Ml120 Pro RGB with the lighting node).

My options are either to get a commander Pro, that can control the fans and has 2 extra usb 2.0 headers, or just buy an internal usb hub like the NZXT one. Which one would you say is better for my case? Prices as follows (i live outside US, shipping included):

(New) Corsair Commander Pro: $ 82
(Used) NZXT Internal USB Hub: $ 24

What I can tell you is that mixing rgb ecosystem has continually been frustrating. As one doesn't do something other does or doesn't do it the same way when you try to sync.

I have the cccp is pretty awesome and without it corsairs rgb ecosystem  is a huge let down. (You would think that with how expensive there rgb stuff is it would be somewhat decent without it, but it is not..)

Figure out which ecosystem is going to be the most dominant in your system then choose the hub that matches and convert As much as possible to the one ecosystem.

If you already have everything then yea get the cccp.

Fyi I got mine for 40$ on ebay.

There maybe another option for mixing these two eco's tho.

What motherboard do you have?

What Nzxt smart devices?

What led strips do you have?

Hi,

I have the lighting hub to control the rgb on corsair units. I just dont have the 2.0 header to control it via software :/. Maybe it would be better to get the hub i think?

Only rgb from nzxt i got is the led stripe that comes in the H210i case. And my motherboard is a Asus Rog Crosshair VIII Impact along with 2 adata xpg d80 rgb ram.

Thank you. Corsair is really expensive with its rgb ecosystem :/
