asus pro ws x570-ace with ECC RAM

Hi

 

i try to build an pc with ECC memory. I have an asus pro ws x570-ace motherboard and a ryzen 5 3600X processor.

The first ram i tried didn't work - the "DRAM-LED" on the motherboard was Yellow an nothing happend.
Now i have a RAM that is officially supported by the Motherboard (HMA82GR7AFR4N-VK), and i have the same issue.

 

Is there a Bios setting i have to apply?
Now ECC support is set to "auto".

 

With memory form an other PC the System is booting, so the motherboard and cpu work fine.

 

Any ideas to solve this problem.

Set ECC support to on. Disable XMP. Try with 1 RAM stick first

@spitzbuaamy Were you able to resolve this? I also am having this problem with my 3900X and QVL Ecc memory on my asus pro ws x570-ace motherboard.

for those who have issue.. I too had the same Mobo and was unable to get 128GB ECC ram to work ... UNTIL !! I cranked up the RAM voltage ever so slightly from "Auto 1.2V" to "1.25V"

After I set 1.25V with 64GB .. and set the speed to 2133Mhz .. add the 2 other sticks.. and slowly turned up the speed of the ram all the way to 2866 Mhz ... and now it works great!

so hopefully you give that a try
