Laptop monitor problem

So basically when my laptop is plugged into my monitor (hp 27x non curved) it functions normally and does stuff really fast and my games are very smooth. However when I take my laptop somewhere else and use it (plugged in) everything seems slow from opening pages to playing games (stutters and low fps), any help?

 

Specs

i7 8750H

GTX 1060 6GB

8GB DDR4 RAM

try to turn off G-synch or vsynch stuff from gpu panel
