Casual Gaming Build

Vectraat

So I may be on the market for a new computer. Can't get my current desktop SSD to boot and the computer is about 6-7 years old now so I figure I may as well buy something new.

I'd say I'm a casual gamer. Lucky if I play 1-2 new games per year so I don't need something cutting edge. At the same time I don't want to invest in something too outdated. I'll probably be playing Doom Eternal when It's released, and I don't wanna have to crank my graphics all the way down if you get what I mean.

I'd prefer not to spend more than $1500 CAD after taxes, but I could MAYBE do 2K CAD including taxes.

I don't think I have too much in the way of criteria.

I'd prefer a case that looks stylish, is good for cable management, easy to clean and has a window. May get some RGB lighting.

I prefer Intel over AMD, unless there's a legitimately good reason to go with AMD over Intel. I may get a G-sync monitor at some point so I'd prefer Nvidia.

Right now I have 8x HDD bays, so I'd at least prefer to have that many in my case. Other than that, I don't think I have anything else to add. Obviously I want USB ports at the top/front portion of the case along with headset/mic jacks and plenty of USB ports at the back.

Thanks. Prefer an Nvidia GPU recommendation over a Radeon card. Definitely have a lot of storage so I'm good for that. No dual headphone jack/microphone ports at top? (Case)

pick what you need and you believe....what does that mean exactly ?

No SSD with a $2K build ?

A 2600X doesn't need a 360mm AIO.

Did you read the bit where he says he is a casual gamer ? You don't need an RTX 2080 for that. He would be fine with an RTX 2060.
