Noctua NH-L12 92mm fan performance?

Chriz6097

Would a NH-L12 be able to cool an i5 3570k at stock with only the 92mm fan running at the lowest RPM possible? I am considering using this cooler to make a silent hackintosh build in the InWin 901 mini.

My System Specs: (Short list) i7 4770k, GTX 780, many SSD's, a 2 TB HDD(deceased :( ), Corsair 650D. Full list: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kchriz6097/saved/8dh7YJ

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

I'm just throwing old parts together and the motherboard is only b75 so that's not a problem. But because it won't fit in the case i was hoping are there any silver coolers that would be able to be nearly passively cooled that could fit in an M-ITX case?

then using only one fan won't be any problem. the only thing I would take into consideration would be coil whine

The problem is the heat piped go out too far for the motherboard I want to use, but are there any low profile coolers that look decent and are quiet?

well, there are a few options

after a quick search I found these two coolers:

or this one

I'd probably choose the first one, if it fits in your case and on your motherboard :)

I'll go the safe route and choose the second because based on the images on google it looks to fit on an M-ITX motherboard + GPU
