GTX 1080 Strix idle temps

Normal and at those temps you will die of old age before the GPU dies of heat failure.

I recently bought a GTX 1080 Strix from a friend who took good care of it it's never been overclocked. But my question is, with the 0% fan mode, is it safe for the long run to idle at 44-45 degrees C.

If I make the fan curve to keep the fan on until like 30 degrees, the GPU fan (as monitored by GPU Tweak II) is constantly turning on and off every few seconds, even if I make the fan stay on 20% until it reaches zero degrees C

As a side note. I can't just "Look at the GPU fans myself" as the PC is sitting under the desk in a cubby (with good breathing room btw), but the side window is covered so I can't see inside the case.

This is normal. Its expect and 100000000% safe for the life of the GPU.
