Need help to choose a monitor

est_han

As a upcoming month I will be getting a new GPU (GTX 1060) and needing a new monitor, I will mostly play CS:GO and other FPS type of games. Not sure if its worth to give extra 100€ for 144hz monitor.
The 2 monitors what I am deciding between are: AOC G2460PF and AOC G2590VXQ

My current specs are I5 2400, 6GB DDR3 ram (Will be upgraded to 16 gigs in couple of months) and with monitor will be getting GTX 1060 6GB version.
Question is: Is it worth spending the extra 100 euros on extra 69Hz.

Unless you are willing to play on low, a GTX 1060 will not push 144 frames in most games. I can verify as I just had one, it can't even do high in alot of games today. But on low, maybe you can push 144? if not 144 I'm sure you can push over 60 at least, which should help with your competitive-ness, but just know it is not a powerhouse of a card.

Now to your actual question, IMO with a 1060, no.

Well currently with Radeon HD 5850 1GB I can get 120-240 FPS Low in CS:GO but yeah, probably better to go for cheaper version I guess.
