Choose Samsung because of Dex function ? (hdmi to phone > simulate desktop)

Anyone actually use the samsung Dex? it should support 3rd party cables by now...

I was wondering since s8 the Dex was announced and it could turn your phone to "desktop feeling projected screen"

anyone had good /bad experience with the Dex? is this the reason you buy samsung?

(mainly wanted to browse webs / youtube/ & emulators , in case my gaming pc is being occupied)
